I have a stick straight hair that just won't curl no matter what I do .
Found this tutorial and thought OK that's look really good and easy to do.

Nope. Not my hair. My hair just stays the same.
I really want curls once in awhile. What should I do?
Are you Asian? I'm Asian. My hair is not stick straight, but it also doesn't hold a curl, too thick.
Yes, you're the only one. Forget about Asia.
You know that my Japanese cousins would kill to have "naturally curly hair"?
I love this humid weather - my Caucasian genes come out of hiding and curl my hair!!!!!
I'm white and my hair won't hold a curl at all. I got a perm in middle school and my hair was straight again in about 3 days. I'm not exaggerating.
You seem like a nice person, OP. So I'm going to give you a present. You may have 50% of the curl my hair has. If you'd like bigger boobs I'll give you half of mine as well (not one tit but half from each tit). This will leave me with the perfect amount of curl and perfectly-sized boobs.

Well, since I'm pretty weak in the boob department as well, I'll take them both. Thanks!

LOL... you can spread that boob around. I need some extra, too. Keep the curl.

No, I'm Russian. So I unfortunately don't have that gorgeous thick Asian hair but my hair is so straight that it can't even hold a ponytail, everything just slides down.
Op
Yup, stick straight, uncurlable hair here too. If I go old lady and put it in rollers when wet and then sleep on it, it will sometimes last the next day depending on the weather.

OP, grass is always greener on the other side. I'm PP, and I don't like my hair. And my hair doesn't hold a ponytail either. A lot of Asian women have issues with slippery hair.
Have you tried curling it and spraying each curl with hairspray, and then recurl with hairspray? I've seen it done that way, but it's not that great for your hair, and it takes a lot of time.
Maybe you just need a better haircut that takes advantage of your straight hair.
I have a similar problem, though I have blond sort of fly-away straight hair: see, worldwide problem
The only technique that works for me is to separate my hair into large sections, hairspray, hot rollers, wait until cool-ish, then bobbypin the curl in place until completely cool, then hairspray again. Sounds involved, but most of the time you are just walking around with rollers or bobbypins in your hair, so not much "active" time. Even that will only get me sort of wavy curls... think ringlets or something is basically impossible.
Me too. My hair is straight and also slick. Gave up trying to fight it long ago.
My hair is totally straight. So straight that in the 1980s no stylist would give me a perm! I had a very hard time in the 80s.
Do you wash your hair daily? Clean hair doesn't hold curl as well as hair that is a day or two past shampooing.
I also have blonde flyaway straight fine hair like PP, and I have just embraced my hair. With some "beach hair" spray I can get the tiniest bit of wave, but curls, no. My DS has curly hair, and I have no idea where that came from.
